01 — The current

There is nothing wrong with you. There is something asking for your attention.

People don't come to therapy to be repaired. They come to pause, to look at what is truly there, and to find their own pace again — with someone walking beside them, without judgment and without hurry.

02 — The method

A path shaped around you, not a mould.

Listening

The first session is a conversation. Room to tell what brings you here, with no set questions and no rush to wrap things up.

The path

Together we build realistic goals and the steps to reach them. An integrative approach: cognitive-behavioural, systemic-relational and humanistic tools, chosen for you.

Care

50-minute sessions, usually weekly. In the Milan practice or online, with the same attention and the same confidentiality.

03 — The waters

Every journey has its own water.

04 — Who guides

Elena Marchetti

Psychologist & psychotherapist

I have been working with adults, couples and adolescents for over ten years. I believe in a therapy that does not judge: a protected place where every feeling is allowed to exist before it is understood.

Outside the practice I swim, read, and often walk back home. Water teaches patience — the same patience I bring to therapy.

Words from those who passed through here.

When I arrived I could no longer hear what I truly wanted. Now I can.

06 — Questions

Before you begin.

01How much does a session cost?

The fee is agreed in our first meeting, based on what you can afford. I believe money should never be a wall: there is always room for flexibility.

02How long does a course of therapy last?

It depends on you and what you bring. Some paths are short and focused, others longer. We review goals together from time to time, to check we are heading in the right direction.

03Do online sessions really work?

Yes. For many people they work just as well as in-person sessions. We use a secure, confidential video platform; you can also alternate between the practice and online.

04Does everything I say stay confidential?

Yes. Professional confidentiality is absolute. The only exceptions are those required by law, and I will explain them clearly in our first session.

05What happens in the first session?

We meet. You tell, in your own way, what brings you here; I listen and explain how I work. There is no obligation: decide afterwards, calmly.

06Can I reschedule or cancel a session?

Of course, with 48 hours' notice. A message is enough: life has its own timing, and that is fine.

07 — The first step

The first step is a word.

Write me two lines: I will reply personally within two working days, to arrange a first, no-obligation meeting.
